GoToMyPC is now available on Android Smartphones and Amazon Kindle Fire

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest GoToMyPC app for Android (v2.0.744.0).

The GoToMyPC app for Android (v.2.0744.0) is now supported on Android Smartphones running Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or later. We recommend using devices with a 1 Ghz processor or higher. Also, the GoToMyPC app is supported on Amazon Kindle Fire devices.

Start Using the GoToMyPC app for Android on an Android Phone:

- After downloading the app, tap the GoToMyPC icon under Apps in your device to begin. In the Login screen, enter your email address and password and tap Log In to connect to your GoToMyPC account. The contents of your email address will be saved in your login screen and will pre-populate it when you login again.

- In the My Computers screen, tap the Mac or Windows computer you wish to connect.

- To connect to a host computer, enter your Access Code and tap OK. If RADIUS authentication is required, you must enter your RADIUS credentials in addition to your access code.

You are now connected to your host computer from your Android phone using the GoToMyPC app for Android!

Use the on screen mouse for better mouse control

- The on-screen Precision Control mouse helps you in having precise control of your mouse on the host computer. Mouse controls like right-click, left-click, hover and drag actions can be done using the precision control feature.

I am trying to use the GoToMyPC Client App on an Amazon Kindle Fire 7. When I go to http://www.amazon.com/Citrix-Online-GoToMyPC/dp/B009LHY1NK/ref=sr_1_4?s=mobile-apps&ie=UTF8&qid=1350371209&sr=1-4&keywords=GoToMyPC, as suggested in the Citrix support page, it says the App is not compatible with my device.

Amazon's reply is:

The reason for incompatibility of app is Digital Right Management and License Restrictions imposed by developer of app while we list our apps and we will have to abide by the agreement which we enter with the developer of app.

Can you tell me if this is a temporary or permanent incompatibility?

I am running android 4.1.2 and can not log-in from my phone. When I click on the cpu I wish to start I only see the spinning when trying to open but nothing ever happens. Anyone with help ? All free programs teamviewer , chrome remote etc works fine so then I guess the paid program should work too.

Thanks Glenn for getting the android app out. And thanks to everyone that worked on it.

I installed it on my Motorola Droid 4 yesterday and played on 1 of my office computers for a little bit. The mouse pointer is hardly ever visible on my phone, but i'm sure this is a work in progress, so I'll try not to complain too much. Next I logged into my main office computer to try to work in Quick Books. It was fine for reviewing bills and invoices, but entering a bill was kind of a hassle when the mouse pointer didn't show up. I'm happy right now just being able to look at the invoices & bills. (Not real sure about the bills)

It would be nice before releasing an app that you thoroughly test it. Saying it will work on android based phones running 2.3.3 or higher when it will not is a waste of our time not to mention your tech supports time.
