Remote Access requires the LogMeIn Client app?

When I try to access my remote PC from my Macbook Pro, I'm being asked to install a zip file on my Mac, which contains a PC Logmein Client. When I try to open the client, it just redirects me to the Logmein website. I'm forced to run a reduced session instead. This has been a recent problem - please let me know how to fix.

Same problem on Chromebooks as well, except you can't click the link for the web interface... it just keeps you in a loop back to the login screen for the host.
