Screen not updating

Hi all,

 

I have seen this issue a few times but there has not been a solid fix for it and I am stuck.

Basically when i click on firefox, explorer, IE, any application on my Windows 8 laptop using LMI nothing happens. I thought that the mouse was knackered when I first did it but then when I changed the resolution I could see what I had clicked on.....to a point.

 

 

Once refreshing.....

Explorer showed everything fine and I could navigate through my PC.

Firefox showed just a blank window and would not refresh when I closed it by clicking X so I had to change res again

IE on the other hand would show the tool bar but nothing on the actual page and the weird thing was when I clicked the X on IE it would close the page without needeing to refresh by changing the res.

 

So this is how far I have got. I have tried turning off 'Use display accelerator' in LMI settings > General but this made no difference. Any help would be great.

This worked for me, though the process was a little different. I'm using Windows 10.

 

Right-Click the icon in the lower right taskbar on the host computer.

Click "LogMeIn Control Panel"

Click "Options" from the left menu

Click "Preferences"

UnCheck "Use display accelerator"

 

Fixed my problem instantly.
