I'm running Logmein Pro on two identical Windows 8.1 laptops, one in France, one in the UK, each running CCTV software and little else. Having had no problems using Free version I moved over to Pro with confidence, but have had more problems since than ever before.
While in the UK I could view the French laptop in Logmein Home list, but could not connect to it. Now back in France I can control the laptop the other side of my French desk, but not the one in the UK.
Each time the problem is the same:
Both computers appear as Online in Logmein Home screen. Clicking on remote one brings up the Connecting screen, and may even result in the footnote confirming connection, but no remote control screen or dashboard appears, only a message from the browser (whether IE, Chrome or Firefox) that the web page is unavailable.
Returning to Logmein Home list shows the remote machine as "In Session" despite being invisible.
This happened for the first time immediately after the post-Heartbleed update at Easter.
Anyone else having the same problem? Had it happened in one direction only I might have agreed with Logmein's diagnosis of a problem with that laptop (and when I reached the problem laptop it was working perfectly) - but now I'm convinced it is down to connection via Logmein.
I haven't tried logging in to either machine from a third location - tough, I only have two houses........
I should add that the disconnects happen regardless of which browser we are using on the local end, or if we are using the client app. The crash has never occured when we access these same systems using LogMeIn Rescue - but you can't use LogMeIn Resuce as an unattended access method.
I am having the same problem. We have approx 80 systems on LMI Pro. At first support helped diagnose the disconnects occuring and we at least traced it to the host machine and some function being called within ntdll.dll. Support kind of fell off after that. Only they can help, but they won't. LogMeIn host on all 6 of our new Win7x64 machines from Dell constantly crash. Usually upon initial connection or when switching between file view and remote control. Since I live near LMI, I even offered to drop one of the machines off at their office. These are all clean windows builds with the latest ntdll.dll on new computers. Don't really like TeamViewer but we are now starting to install it on some newer machines. I would rather LMI fix the problem. If they would help isolate what function they are calling inside ntdll.dll when it crashes, that would go a long way.
I pasted the email reply below that I got from them. It includes the link to their download page for various products. Please let me know if you have problems. I hope it works for you as well as it has for me.
This is happening due to a security misconfiguration in Internet Explorer. For some reason Internet Explorer is telling our website that it will not allow it to use full functionality due to some security setting. However it isn't the same security settings for everyone causing this. Some have seen this get fixed by restoring Internet Explorer to defaults. Others use a different web browser altogether to get around it, using Firefox or Chrome for instance.
The one sure-fire way to get access to your computers is this, so then let's try a different approach: download and install the LogMeIn Client desktop app for Windows which you can find on the left side of this page:http://help.logmein.com/SelfServiceDownloads and try accessing through that application. This is a fully functional replacement of the procedure of logging in through the website this will bypass the issues that some web browsers may have.
I have Pro with 5 PC hosts. One of my Host PC's shows offline yet the icon for waking it up shows. I click the wake button at seeks but does not find. I need to have surety to the waking proceess. I cannot keep asking my clients to go and restart the PC or my outsource business becomes compromised........Help
I have two Macs, an iMac running OSX10.9.2 and a MacMini server running OSX10.7.5. Both have happily been running LogMeIn for years. Now having paid for the LogMeIn upgrade, the MacMini, won't allow LogMeIn to turn on. The iMac is fine.
Unfortunately, I can't upgrade the server as it's processor doesn't support the more recent versions of OSX. Now as the server is the machine on 24:7, WOL via LogMeIn doesn't work for the iMac. and LogMeIn has become utterly useless to me.
Everything was working fine until the 'upgrade'. Really unimpressed.
That's great for you. Any ideas for those of us that have Win 7? My XP computer works fine right now, it's my 7 one I can't get to remote control. (Which given what you have run into - I'm afraid my XP will stop working too.) It does seem to be some kind of certificate issue but how the hell do you know when nobody from LMI is offering solutions?????:smileyfrustrated:
Absolutely attrocious customer support.
A month after creating a support ticket, I got notification that the ticket was being closed. No answer, just closed.
I fired off a mouthful and almost a week later I finally go the fix.
Figured I'd post it here, as it's going to take months for them to answer everyone else at this rate.
There is a problem with their certificate expiring on Win2K and WinXP machines. My machine that wouldn't connect was WinXP.
The explanation, along with a link to the fix, is here:

I have 3 computers on the Logmein system. Have used free for probably more than a decade, with no issues.
Now I have ONE computer of the 3 that I cannot access. That computer's logmein control panel says "connection failed. Cannot connect to LogMeIn servers. Confirm that your computer is set to the currect date"
Of course, it is set to the corrrect date and uninstalling, reinstalling does nothing. This has caused a huge problem with our book keeper, as she needs to access this machine remotely.
I tried submitting a support ticket days ago, still waiting for a reply.
As another has stated, I would have gladly paid a fee to continue using the system we had in place. I don't need the extra crap that comes with PRO, and certainly don't need the aggrevation of a non functioning PAID system.
How do I get a refund for this "upgrade"? I'm going to have to move to Gotomypc in an attempt to get this fixed.
Brett
It appears that every time LogMeIn updates their software, they reset the setting for Allow Wake on LAN, turning it off if you've previously turned it on. At least one of their support people is aware of this defect, but it has been going on for at least a month without being fixed--and that should be a pretty simple fix. I tried turning off automatic updates, but it appears that LogMeIn ignores that and updates anyway. I'm also a paying customer and pretty disgusted with the deterioration of this product within the past few months.
Using Pro from Chromebook.... has worked fine for many months until yesterday.... seems that login me in is no longer waking up my pc... may be related to windows update installed yesterday.. help!
wow, thought it was just me. Looks like a major issue, I use every day (Logmein Pro). Already a PAID user for almost 2 years now. My subscription runs out June, 2014. I have submitted 2 help tickets, hold on phone for over 2 hours TWICE & then received some general Help response in email, that had nothing to do with my issue. IM A PAID USER NOT A FREEE USER. You would think that would give you some priority.
Mac OS X 10.6.8
The suggestion posted didn't work!
Looking around this community and the problems users are having with LogMeIn Pro I'd say it's launch of the conversion from free to paid is an unmitigated disaster and a dog!...time to search for alternatives!

My office has two computers with LogMeIn Pro installed. My boss leaves her computer logged in at all times. I log out when I leave work. She never has a problem accessing her computer. More often than not, I cannot wake up my computer. Why? I'm configured correctly, but LogMeIn repeatedly changes my settings on its own, disabling Wake On LAN. I thought that by turning off automatic updates of LogMeIn, I'd be able to avoid this problem (that seemed to be when it was happening, at every update), but it just happened again. Last night, I connected from home and woke up my computer. When I went to log it off, it seemed to hang Windows. I tried reconnecting from LogMeIn and got the Windows screen that says "Press Alt+Ctrl+Del to log in," so I figure everything was okay (I did not log in again). Today, I tried to connect remotely with LogMeIn, and it would not even attempt to wake up my computer. Who knows why? The bottom line is that LogMeIn is unreliable, unless you leave your remote computer logged in at all times--which of course presents security issues. This is a big disappointment.

Unfortunately, Firefox and Chrome have made it so that our Plugins will no longer function in their new browsers. They also removed support for many of the calls we need to write that capability under their new architecture. So we had to develop the Client software.
This issue is generally caused by the Browser not saving our Cookie. This is used to tell the site that the Client is already present.
Follow the instructions for either Firefox or Chrome, and ensure that logmein.com is allowed to save cookies.

What Operating Systems do you all have?
I just upgraded to Pro and now I can't log in to my computer remotely. Never had an issue with the free version.
I spent three hours between phone calls and emails in trying to access my computer through Ignition access. Endless waiting on th ephone and no answers on email.
I used LogmeIn Free for many years and never had such problems.
I really need to get sorted.
Anyone can help out there?

LMI - has something changed with your system since the beginning of July/13? My issue has not changed. I just tried again and I am still being disconnected during the verify identity stage and after the disconnection a message states that the system timed out or the host is offline - which it isn't. We need to get this fixed. I am trying to access a client's computer. I am not making any money not being able to access it. Are there any suggestions? I am located in Canada - we do not use Time Warner or AT&T. My cable company is Shaw Cable - does anyone else use them and have the same problem?
Thanks
Jazz
I have had almost the same issue since 7/1/13, prior to that I had been using LMI for many years with only an occasional problem. I can log in, select the remote computer, log in the second time, then it comes back to the remote computers list and says my computer is offline, when it is not. I can close and open the brower and start the process again and it does the same thing. I went to work and removed LMI from the host computer on 7/18 and did a new download and install. That worked for about 2 days, then, the problem started up again. I checked with out IT admin to see if there were any changes to our firewall and nothing has been changed.
This has been very frustrating, I would love to find a solution!
For those having a problem with the site today, please attempt to run a trace route to secure.logmein.com via the following command.
tracert secure.logmein.com > c:\lmitrace.txt
and then contact our support line with that trace file. Tell them that you were asked to provide this file, and to be sent to Level 2.
I just tried again, ~14 hours after success, and now it fails again on (1) PC of (6).....the mystery continues....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot log into the logmein service today July 24th 2013 at 10:30AM
I tried again last night and was able to connect to all PC's....problem just went away. Maybe Logmein app had a problem that was fixed???
I, too, am having the same problem. The connection seems to glitch out at "verify identity", and the issue just started over the last couple of days.
Same problem. 2 of my 6 PC's cannot be accessed, starting last week. Strange that some can be accessed while others cannot. All are updated to latest W7 and Essentials updates. Next step is to remove the inaccessible ones are re-list them, unless some has a better idea.
Hello All,
I ran into problem in accessing my remote computer. After I logged into my account, I can see the remote computer. It is green. I tried to login as usual, logmein tried to connect and the round circle kept looping around. After a long time, the screen came back with a time out error. This started on Saturday nite. Before, I have no such accessing problem.
Does anyone know why it is so? If there is a modem problem at the remote end, why is this computer green in logmein user interface?
Regards,
John
