I recently installed the trial version of pro. I keep getting the 1326 error message even though I know my password and login are correct. Is there a potential firewall problem i don't know about?
If you are connecting to a windws 7 computer on a domain try the following
user name:(of the computer)
user password (of the computer)
Log on to ( Important - change it to the domain name) ( Do not use the computer name )
domain - I think. They have multiple computers but they did not set up someone else did so it's a difficult.
thanks so much....
Is this a standalone or on a domain?
You have to go with domainname\useraccount rather than computername\useraccount.
Error code 1326 tried computername\logonname and still no luck in accessing target pc running vista. I am usign the Adminstrators pw as the pw. could it have somehting to do with the multiple accts on target pc?
Absolutely AWESOME that you posted this answer and it solved the problem. I would NEVER have guessed this on my own, so thank you for posting it here as a "solved" solution. I had "locked out" my IP address from work every day until reading this.
Thanks! Now let's hope LMI makes this a best-practice solution so people actually know about it.
This is the perfect solution!, Thanks!
i had it to yesterday its simple to fix,
you have to type
COMPUTERNAME\Loginname as username (note: computername = name of computer | Loginname is you windows logon name)
AS1
Hi.
I am running windows 7 on the computer i wish to connect to, i have successfully connected to it before, using log me in free. I am using windows xp to control the windows 7 computer.
Recently i have attempted to connect to the computer, but i am being informed that my username and password are incorrect, but they are correct. My password contains lowercase letters and numbers, no special characters.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks for your time
