Connection doesnt Authenicate

Hey peoples,

So all of a sudden I have an issue connecting between my two computers. And the funny thing is that its affecting both computers the same way... Every time I try to connect, it gets to "Authenticating" and then just times out after about 30-60 seconds. The only error message I get is "Error occurred: Connection Lost".

I would think if it did have issues with my username or password, it would error me out immedatiely and tell me that they are wrong.

Both computers have up to date Logmein. Both Macs on 10.8.4.

And everything used to work fine...

Yep, so I just tried the the file manager login, that works fine for me too. So its just the remote thats not working....

Anyone else have any luck? I def think its something do to with an update that have done recently, as this all used ot work perfecly for years....

Try and log on to the remote computer with file manager. I cannot get authenticated using remote desktop but if I log on through file manager, it successfully connects and verifies connection. Of course I havent got full access as I require but , to me, it shows the issue is related to the logmein application. Why will it authenicate part of it s application but not the remote desktop. Logmein support seem to have just stopped responding too !! If not resolved soon I am cancelling my subscription.

Everything was fine for months, then yesterday I get really slow responces. The mouse clicks didn't transfer most of the time and keyboard inputs would take 10-30 seconds to appear on the remote computer.

Today, my logmein would not connect until I logged in at the remote. Then it shows "online, in session" but will not connect and show me the window.

I get message about the network, but my network is fine at both computers.

I also have this problem when trying to access two MacBooks. The interesting thing is if you use file manager you can see all your files on the host and move them around but when you try and connect to the desktop it times out on authentication. This happens on mine after you re-boot the host, then you cannot connect. Especially frustrating when you don't have a person at the host end to have a look.

Do you have any antivirus software or a firewall running on your Macs that may have updated?
