Chat does NOTHING!

Why does the "Initiate chatwith user" feature in LogMeIn Dashboard not work at all?

 

I first tried this to communicate with a user of a computer I needed to take control from. Once I clicked on the chat link, the main body of the dashboard window just turned totally blank (white screen with column at left side still available to click on links, so it's not that the program locked up because I can still click on things like Remote Contol).

 

Then, I started trying chat on other computers to see if it was an isolated issue. Same problem on any that I tried. I also moved myself to another workstation to see if it was my computer - same issue.

 

Does chat work for anyone else?

UPDATE: It turns out that I just need to click in the blank white area in the middle of the screen to get it to work. This is not expected behavior, but at least it is an easy solution.

 

Austin from LMI support discovered this when he remoted in, and happened to have clicked on the screen when he connected, which brought up the Chat interface.
