Alt-Tab not working on remote computer

For years I've been able to use Alt-Tab to switch between windows on my remote computer. After a recent restart of the remote computer a logmein update was applied and now I'm unable to use Alt-Tab on my remote computer at all.

Whenever I use Alt-Tab it switches between windows on my local machine, not the remote machine. This happens regardless of whether the focus is on the remote machine or not and whether I am in full-screen for the remote computer or not.

What can I do to restore this functionality?

Hey Kris,

it's working in Firefox and not in IE - that's a fact.

So I think that we can say thar the problem is the IE...

I've only experienced it in IE so far.

I do not use the multi-monitor display feature. I do not have multiple monitors on either side of the connection (client or otherwise).

The issue existed whether I was in full screen mode or not.

I've since switched to Firefox, and do not see this issue in the Firefox browser.

Does all of you experience the issue in IE? Are you using the Multi-monitor Display feature (when you have multiple remote control windows for every host monitor)? Do you have multiple monitors on the client side (the computer you are connecting from)? Do you experience it only in full screen remote control? The more info the better. Thanks!

After I posted above, I realized I wasn't using Firefox after all. I was using it on the remote machine, but I had logmein open in Internet Explorer. When I switched to Firefox it worked. I'd try that, if you haven't already.

I'm having the same problem, and I'm using Firefox.

The issue seems to be browser specific. I have the problem in Internet Explorer, but I was able to regain the functionality when using Firefox.

Same problem here.

alt-tab, ctrl-shift-esc, ...

all very annoying to have them run on my machine instead of the intended target

I see this as well, plus there are other key strokes (such as F3, F5, Alt-R) which seem to be getting directed to Internet Explorer.

This happens on Windows 7 and Windows 8 ; these all used to work prior to recent updates (probably Windows updates are to blame?). It's an absolute pain in the neck.
