I do not know if this is a cousin of the black screen problem.
Lately I have been experiencing an occassional "blink"ing on my MBPr client machine.
It is worst when I am connected to an iMac, but I am recently noticing it when connecting to a Mac pro tower with an external display as well. The tell-tale that it is possibly the retina display is I can log into the host systems from a Mac Mini with an external monitor and there is no screen blinking.
I just thought I would throw this one out there. About a week ago, the iMac got really tired of me being logged in with the MBPr and the screen went blank and the system went completely offline for quite a while.
So I am beginning to suspect it may be the client that is causing the problem.
