I'm thinking purchasing LogMeIn Pro.
Do I need to install it on two machines in order to transfer files?
For example, If Pro is installed on my home desktop can I transfer files from any remote PC
to it or does the sending machine need Pro too?

Unless I'm reading the question wrong, you just need to buy 'one' pro. If you want to access multiple computers, then you have the option to add (buy) more computers.
I bought Pro to access my work computer. I can login to my work computer from anywhere that I sign in. (ex: my parent's house, my home). So whatever machine I am on, I can transfer files although truthfully, I haven't done a lot of this. When I am at work, I cannot access my home computer though. Does that help? sorry if not!
Okay, say you install Pro on your home computer. When you log into it from another computer you can transfer files from the computer you're on to the home computer or tranfer files from the home computer to your current location. This help??
