Uninstall redundant anti-virus software.

The following warning is displayed for one of my windows 7 clients:

Immediate action required!

Multiple anti-virus software installed.
Uninstall redundant anti-virus software.

AV software name:

Other Trend Micro, Inc. Antivirus, 5.0

Other AVG Technologies Antivirus, 13.0.0.2784

I've searched the client top to bottom with no sign of Trend Micro products. How is LMI checking for multiple installations, registry?

If I'm confident I don't have multiple programs running how can I clear this alert?

This bug is apparently still active, and has not, to the best of my knowledge, ever even been acknowledged, much less addressed. Here's where I found similar reports when looking for this answer myself:

In my case, ONE of my five machines using MBAM and MSSE is showing them as being redundant, the other four all live with them happily running together (Premium version). Like you, it went away when I uninstalled/reinstalled MBAM, but then it came back with the first refresh.

I am having the same issues with Symantec - does anyone have a work around or fix?

I have the same problem saying I have 2 versions of McAfee installed but I can only find one (the one I would expect)

Is there a solution?
