I cannot see folders I open on my remote PC

Hi,

I was connected remotely when I joined LogMeIn Pro. does this mean I don't actually have it on the PC I am connecting to? I really need to be able to access the filesystem on that PC and it will be a couple of weeks before I am back in front of it to upgrade it. While I'm here, how do I do that?
