I wish ALL stuff with go to webinar was a "library" feature - logos for branding, survey questions, poll questions, handouts... etc. It is annoying to have to reinvent the wheel each time - or try to remember to "clone" the appropriate webinar so all the stuff copies over. It would be nice to be able to pick from a menu of stuff in your account. Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Handouts for all Sessions in a Webinar.
Hi @Flexivty Welcome to the GoTo Community,
I moved your post to the ideas section where others can question and comment and because this is not currently available.
The team is working on improving Polls this year and we will keep the community updated on improvements. Thanks.
I teach the same 4-evening course at least 6x per year. We use many polls.
We have been uploading polls through the "Engage Your Attendees" interface. It is a tedious process of cutting and pasting. I can't believe GoTo doesn't have a better way to do that.
It would seem having a simple CSV file upload would solve that and save about 2 hours of cutting and pasting for each event.
Is this possible?
@CEevent I moved your idea to the GoTo Webinar idea section with a similar idea. Currently, you can obtain the same polls or handouts for your upcoming sessions by clicking on "Copy Webinar" and simply updating the date and time, but I do understand that you might want to see something more versatile.
Would like to be able to attach handouts and polls to repeat events without having to manually upload each item individually each time. For example if there is a way to create a template event that could just duplicate for future dates or to copy an existing event and this information would carry over.
@ARothman While the library would be a welcome enhancement (especially for polls), if you are reusing the same colors, logos and surveys, I suggest creating a 'template' webinar that you create all others from. We run hundreds of sessions a year and have a template webinar for each kind (roughly 3). When I new session is needed, we copy it from the template and everything is ready to go - just update the title and description.
The template sessions are always set for a date months outs and we keep pushing the date out so the template is always there at the end of the scheduled webinars. Works well for us but a library would bring more ease and options - so add my vote to the list!
Looking forward to this feature getting implemented. We do 30 or so webinars per year, and having to hand-enter the colors, logos, and surveys over and over is definitely a hassle.
@Carisaf I'm sorry, this capability is not yet available for scheduling webinars.
I have a lot of webinars that I want to attach the same survey to for all of them. is there a way to save the survey or do I have to recreate the same survey over and over again?
@myers I'm sorry GoToWebinar does not yet have the ability for shared library or catalogue of Polls, Surveys, or Registration questions. This is a feature request that I'll move over to the 'Ideas' section of the GoToWebinar Community.
GoToStage video library cannot be shared across webinars. This can become a big issue if you wish to access a video that was already uploaded on a previous Webinar and wish to play it on a future webinar.
Organizers have to re-upload, already uploaded videos, again for any future webinars, which can be very time consuming and seems quite redundant.
Can we please provide a feature where organizers can select from already uploaded videos to be added to their future webinars without the headache of re-uploading five videos each time from an already existing uploaded set of videos!
Good to know. Glad other minds have had a similar idea and workflow to be more prodctive with the product. If there is ever a way end users can vote on desired feature sets to include in the product roadmap or sprints, I'm happy to cast my two cents.
Thanks for the feedback @ZachEagle . That's a concept (materials library) that has been discussed before, in several forms. If we do develop a shared library we'll be sure to update the Community here with the details of the release.
I've found GotToWebinar to be a great product, but a few tweaks could make it a notch better.
The most glaring one is survey creation. It would be oh so fabulous if a survey could be created and saved outside of a webinar in a "survey library" (so if a person forgot to copy an existing webinar that had their ideal survey), they could pull the desired survey in via a selection tool of pre-saved personal (account) surveys and not have to re-type everything by hand.
If there is any way to pass this on to developers to see if this is something to include in a product roadmap, it'd really be helpful!
I'm not 100% sure when all the features will migrate over, though you will see new releases updated here as they become publicly available.

Do you know if that's on the roadmap for GoToWebinar? We migrated from GoToTraining to GoToWebinar because we were told it has the same functionality (obviously not your problem).
I'm afraid GoToWebinar doesn't have 'Materials' functionality like GoToTraining does: https://support.goto.com/webinar/help/share-handouts-during-webinars-g2w020025
I recently migrated from GoToTraining, which had a main dashboard where I could add quizzes, polls, surveys, documentation, etc to my Library. Then I could apply those to any training session I wanted. That doesn't seem to exist in the new GoToWebinar dashboard or am I'm missing it? Can I go back to the classic dashboard at all?
If you found this discussion useful, why not register/sign-in? It only takes a minute to add your support and vote for a new feature!
