Thanks for making sure those are correct. Could you also check in the Advanced tab of your LastPass Browser Extension Preferences to see if the "Share login state between browsers" option is turned on? If it is, please try disabling this option and testing once more to make sure that isn't causing you to be logged out as well. Please also check the Chrome browser settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and other Site Data > make sure "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome" is not turned on. If you also have another browser extension (such as a privacy extension or content blocker) we would also recommend disabling these during troubleshooting just to be sure they are also not causing the browser cookies/history to be blocked or cleared upon exit.
For me this started happening since I migrated to a family account. Even on new installs, with all the options off, it still logs of every time I close the browser. This is for both Firefox and Chrome.
Shared login state is off, clearing of cookies and data is off, auto-logout is off, and nothing helps.
Hi DannyV,
Actually, I don't know about the European merging cause and effect. All I know is that I was a happy customer before I become a paid customer. All of the sudden, I cannot use the system. LastPass simply does not care.
Same here, they said it's supposed to work that way , I don't believe that because it worked liked a charm before we merged our accounts from US servers to European ones.
Did you also merge accounts from US to Europe or something ?
I have the exact issue and none of the given suggestions solved my logging issue. Whenever I sign-in, it logs me out immediately. 😞 Support does not help AT ALL.
"Share login state between browsers" remains off.
I just changed "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome" to off.
That seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks!
Both log out options are NOT checked.
Hello,
Could you check your Automatic Log Out setting within your LastPass browser extension Preferences? With this setting you can choose to have it avoid automatically logging out of your LastPass account when the browser is no longer in use and/or idle. Here's an article that details how manage this setting: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/manage-automatic-log-out
You will also want to check your Chrome browser settings, as if you have Chrome set to clear cookies and data upon closing this will also log you out of the LastPass extension.
Google Chrome logs LastPass out upon closing the browser.
Within Chrome, I have LastPass set to:
NOT Log out when all browsers are closed
NOT Log out after this many minutes of inactivity ___
This is a new computer. LastPass was remaining logged in just fine two weeks ago with the old one.
