Want to keep up with specific in-app or email updates in the community without getting notifications for everything? The platform includes several ways to follow the content and topics that matter most to you. Here’s how you can tailor your notifications.
Follow Sections
If there are certain sections of the community you visit often, you can follow them to receive updates when new posts are added.
- Navigate to the section you want to follow.
- Look for Follow option, under the section on the right hand side
- Choose your preferred notification level (New Comments, Posts, Ideas, etc.) and if your want to receive in-app or email notifications.
This is a great option if you want to stay informed about all new discussions, comments, or posts within a particular area.
Bookmark Important Posts
Sometimes you only want updates on a single post or announcement.
Use the Bookmark feature to save posts and receive notifications when there are new replies.
- Click the Bookmark icon on the post you want to follow. This is located in the discussion section (#1) or the within the post itself (#2)
#1
#2
- Bookmarks are found under Quick Links, My Bookmarks located on Discussion Sections and within Posts.
Tag Following
Following your favorite Tags makes it easy to keep up with topics and products you care about. Even if you don’t enable notifications, all of your followed Tags are listed on the Followed Content page, providing quick access to their content.
For example, Follow “Calling Card.” By following a tag, you’ll receive notifications whenever new posts use that tag.
To follow a tag:
- Click on a tag from a post (located on the bottom of the post).
- Select the option to Follow the tag.
Followed Content Page
Content you follow will be added to your profile's Followed Content page. There, you can set your notification preferences.
- Follow Content can be found clicking on your user Icon on the top right, Account and Privacy Settings, Followed Content
Set your default Notification Preferences
From your profile, you can set notification preferences that will automatically be applied whenever you follow a new Tag or Category. While you're still free to update these defaults later, from your Followed Content page, they save time if you typically choose the same options for every Tag or Category you follow.
