I noted a thread for similar issues in earlier versions. This app updated this AM and is freezing. Mac OS Big Sur 11.2
Suggestions or is an update forthcoming?
No worries thanks for your help trap1. In the scheme of things I'm a bit of a Mac newb, so will have to look in to restoring a version from time machine.

Sorry that didn't work for you. Just to clarify for others, I deleted the problematic version of the LastPass app (dragged app to trash, emptied trash, rebooted, etc.). Then I recovered the older 4.64.0 version of the app via mac TimeMachine and everything worked. [Note: I'm not sure if you can install older versions of LastPass from their website or not; again, I recovered from my own TimeMachine backups.]

I tried it but lastpass 4.64.0 (1133) still freezes on me unfortunately...

Lastpass 4.64.2 hangs on Safari when trying to log in -- 3 bouncing dots forever. Rebooting, deleting, reinstalling does not solve the problem. I backed down to v4.64.0 which works great for me.

Welcome glad it worked for you, I'm trying to get used to it. Just running through the security challenge.. updating aged passwords.
So i'm guessing that there is some sort of issue with the extension in Safari?
So Ive installed it in chrome for now and will hold off on installing the LastPass one again for a bit as we know what happens...
Hi Piero - many thanks for the tip. I did the same and it also worked for me. The difference, I think, is that I was using the version of LastPass downloaded from the LastPass website rather than the Apple App Store version. With the App Store version all seems to be working fine.
Hi Dwoodhead, I killed LastPass in activity monitor, then deleted the app in finder/applications. I re-installed from the App Store and it seems to be working fine, but I don't appear to have the same options I had with the app before. But I'm happy its not freezing anymore!
I have the same issue - I have tried restarting system and reinstalling LastPass. Same issue - when the app is started it freezes and I am unable to click anywhere. Most galling since I had just paid for Premium!
Thank you for the advice. Restoring the app, to a prior version from Time Machine, worked for me. Hopefully the issue with the current version of the desktop app will be resolved soon.
Just updated to 4.65.2 within the application but still have the same freezing issue, so I restored the app again back to 4.60.0 (1121) via Time Machine and all working again 🙄
4.65.2 worked for me when the others had been instantly logging out. Updated through the mac os app.
LastPass stopped freezing on me over the weekend when I installed the latest Mac operating system - Big Sur 11.2.1. LastPass worked perfectly after the installation. Then this morning, I found the update on LastPass. After installing it, I've had no new problems with LastPass.
Anyone tried the latest version to see if this is resolved?
v4.65.2 is now available..
I tried the recommended fix, and LastPass still freezes. Both the Mac App and the Safari LastPass extension freeze. Thankfully, I can still use LastPass on my Chrome browser. But I would still like a fix for this problem on my Macbook Air.

Had exactly the same issue since updating.Mine seems ok now after a Time Machine restore of just the app from before I updated it. I'm back on Version 4.60.0 (1121).

Having exactly the same issue with LastPass 4.64.0, I am running Mac OS BigSur version 11.2.
Have tried to reinstall and re-boot several times, issue persists.
The latest version of the Mac desktop app (Version 4.64.0 (1133)) freezes. I am using the latest build of Big Sur 11.2（20D64）.I uninstalled the LastPass desktop website version and installed the Mac Appstore version, which works as a desktop app, but there is no safari browser extension.
Am I the only one with this problem? The freezing started when I upgraded to LastPass to the latest version.
