Is there any way I can make logmein work together with an VPN-service such as vpntunnel.com? As soon as I login to vpntunnel (using tunnelblick), logmein disconnects.

This is probably because your VPN connection is getting their IP from the VPN so as soon as it connects LMI no longer has access because of the new IP.
In your VPN settings, see if there is an option regarding IP from server for client and disable it. Since I have real VPNs I am not familiar with your vpntunnel solution but its in your config connecting to the VPN

With Rescue, you should be able to connect with the vpn tunnel running- if not, why not try checking the whitelisting info in this link:
http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Whitelisting-and-LogMeIn
then seeing if your VPN is blocking any kinds of traffic or connection types.
