I am unable to connect to any technicians to monitor them. I cannot say exactly when this started happening. However here is what I've done & what I know.
While I did not use this function daily, I can say I used it often, with that being said...
Last week I noticed that when I would try to monitor any technician, the tech console would not actually connect and the status would just say Connecting. Screen shot here
I updated my Tech Console version (7.6.2421 -> 7.9.2951 64-bit) - no change.
Turned off my firewall - no change
Uninstalled & reinstalled - no change
The TS steps here - no change
I've tried Tech Console stand alone & browser version - no change
I did do a full power cycle of my modem & router and that allowed me to connect when I tested it afterward. However the next time I went to try it did not. Obviously power cycling every time I need to monitor a technician is not an option.
I've tried this on my laptop also - same results (it has the older 7.6.2421 64-bit version), is also Win 7 Pro and slightly behind on updates.
Last but not least, another manager who lives on the other side of the country is having exactly the same issue.
I'm running this on Win 7 Pro and there have been no changes other than standard updates, etc
Here is what the queue event log looks like - I left it sitting at "Connecting" for 10 minutes before I canceled it. (Actual tech's name removed)
