Is there a way to find a deleted recording?

I accidentally deleted the wrong recording. Is there a way to recall that?

Hi Jennifer,

I'm sorry but it is not possible to recover a Cloud recording after it has been deleted. If it was a local recording made to your computer, the original unconverted files may still be located in a Recording folder in your Documents.

The deleted recording is still saved in some places; you can check the history first. If you cannot find them here, you can also try a third-party tool. I have used the Bitwar data recovery tool to recover my deleted files before., but I'm not sure whether it can help you in finding your recordings, you can just have atry.

The temp files should remain in play unless GoToMeeting is uninstalled. Feel free to test with a new GoToMeeting recording to see the behavior for yourself.

Let me look for it. Is there a way it automatically removes the temp_ file after conversion to .mp4?

One final suggestion I have would be to search the entire system by the meeting name or ID.

Nope, didn't uninstall the software either

If you uninstalled the GoToMeeting software, that would also remove this folder along with the temp files.

I dont see the temp_audio or temp_audio file for this particular recording in the tempAV folder
However I didnt particularly delete them either earlier

Hi Jannet,
If the original temp files are still on your system, the Recording Manager should find them:

Open Finder
Search for the temp_AV folder
Right-click the recording file in the temp_audio or temp_video folder
Click Open With and select GoToMeeting Recording Manager
Click Convert Recording

If you deleted the converted mp4 recording by mistake, is there a way to recover it using the original (pre-conversion) .g2m file that gets created in tempAV folder in mac? Problem is I cant even see the .g2m file and convert the recording again.
