Using GotoWebinar with PPT 2011 on a Macbook Pro. Whenever I click on control panel for any reason my PPT pops out of the slideshow. Help!

Got it, thanks. I see them on my own slideshow window though. Does that mean the ppt isn't the right size for my own screen? How can I figure out the correct size for my screen?

The black bars depend on the resolution and format of the attendee's screen. If the attendee has the exact same format as the presenter's PPT window, then there will be no black bars.

example: if the presenter is using a 4:3 screen ratio but the attendee has a 16:9 ratio, then the attendee will have black bars on the left and right sides of the PowerPoint. If you reverse the two ratios, then the attendee will have black bars above and below the PowerPoint.

The "browsed by an individual" works for me with my second monitor using the GTW control panel. However, as an attendee, they see black bars around the ppt. How do I get rid of those? Even when I change it to full screen there are still black bars.

While you are showing the PowerPoint show, if you click on the GTW control panel, like to unmute an attendee or read a question, that shifts the keyboard and mouse to GTW instead of PowerPoint, which means you now have no way to advance the slides. The keyboard and mouse can work for only one program at a time.

To get back to where the keyboard and/or mouse control the PowerPoint show, you have to click once on the PowerPoint show. Now your normal slide advance from the keyboard or mouse should work.

Robert,
You can try setting your PowerPoint Slide Show to 'Browsed by an individual (window)', which may allow other applications to work in the foreground when PPT wants to have control over the entire full screen.

Using just the Macbook. Showing the entire monitor to the audience. If I show just the PP show the show sometimes stops advancing for my audience.

Are you using just the MacBook or do you have an external monitor or projector connected?

Are you showing your entire monitor to the audience or just the PowerPoint show? This is selected in the GoToWebinar control panel.
