Introducing Anytime Trainings

I don't believe the option to use an uploaded video will be compatible with the broadcast functionality of GoTo services in the near future, sorry.

Regarding the option to use multiple recordings, I don't believe that idea has been floated yet for development.

It has been a while since this thread was updated, so we would like to inquire on any updates regarding some previously requested features:

1) Will it ever be possible to create an Anytime Training using an uploaded video, or is that limitation based on the way they're created? We have a backlog of webinars from another platform that we would love to offer again using GoToTraining, but screen capturing all of them in an empty session is an extremely laborious task.

2) Is it possible, or will it be made possible, to create an Anytime Training using multiple videos? We often schedule multiple-part webinars and want to make sure all of the parts are viewed before a certificate is issued.

I am checking Go To Training anytime webinar and checked(and tested) all available APIs here https://goto-developer.logmein.com/content/gototraining-api-reference/ .

Can you tell me if I can also get test scores for all attendees from API? Also are we limited to only available APIs in https://goto-developer.logmein.com/content/gototraining-api-reference/ ? ( Or there are other possible hidden, available in other pages, beta testing APIs too?)

I also checked your forums at https://community.gotomeeting.com/gotomeeting/topics/introducing-anytime-trainings but did not think it is available.

Also is there any difference in live and recorded go to training anytime product? ( I mean to ask if API support system is different)

I am interested in recording most of my trainings and want all attendees (whether they participate live or watch a recording) to be able to take the post-test.

You must use your original recording to have the option to publish. Any past recording you have stored in MY RECORDINGS can be published by simply clicking the publish switch on the right of the title. Go to catalogs and create a catalog name. Choose recordings to add to the catalog and your set. For more detailed instructions go to the 24/7 help tab and search catalogs and publishing recordings. Good luck!

Deanna, I noticed you mentioned you published your recording and put them in a catalog. Can you tell me how you accomplished putting the recording in a catalog? I have been trying to figure this out.

I haven't seen GoToTraining Evaluations be included in Published Recordings before, so it may only be a feature of the live broadcast. I'll double check with the product team.

We have hosted them live. They are stored and published in My Recordings. We published them and put them in a catalog. There is NO option to use an evaluation now even though we did use one when we did the live event. I'm not sure what happened to it. All other materials and PowerPoint slides are still there.

You'll want to schedule the training and host it live, regardless if there are any attendees present. This is required to trigger the 'Publish Online' option from the My Recordings area, and also include any materials etc.

Well duh haha. Thank you! I would still like to know how to set up and evaluation since it is not an option when ou listing past recordings to anytime training. Setting it up as a test is difficult when ywhat we need to use us a rating scale 1-5. Help?

How do we (the publishers) of a recorded training see the test and evaluation results that attendees complete. We are a company that has to provide test results and evaluation results to a medical licensing association as part of being a continuing education provider. Is this possible? We have had no problems with the live trainings but the anytime is different.

So I was struggling with this "Publish" button and as you stated, the recording has to be on the GTT website to publish it I think. That option isn't in the Recording settings once you begin a training but it is in the "Settings" area for the overall GTT account. Click on the settings button on the left side of the screen below "generate reports" then click on the "Recording" tab at the top of the new box and use the "recommended" setting of "Save your recordings online"

Hi Sherri,
If you download a recording, and then re-upload, it changes the attachment to your original, customized registration page. I'm afraid you cannot 'Publish' recordings that you manually upload.

Thanks for the tip. Let me know if the bug is fixed - asking to register again with a coupon code is too unreliable for us. We know users will miss the info about the code in the email, and we'd get a lot of angry customers.

Hi Amy, it looks like this is a bug that was missed. The work around is to create a discount code that will give the attendees a $0.00 price and include it in your follow up email.

Hi Glenn, The email issue has been resolved, but now we have a new issue. We sell our events. So, a registrant pays for the event, and when the event is finished, they get the follow up email with the video and materials via Anytime Training. Problem is, the link in that email takes them through the registration and payment option. In other words, to see the video, they have to pay for it again.

Any tips?

OK so there is a workaround for those who had recordings saved to their hard drives and now want to convert them for use with the Anytime feature.
1. Make sure your recordings are set to save online and not onto your hard drive
NOTE: I changed this in overall settings but it didn't update the settings on the recording button so I still have to figure that out.
2. Schedule a meeting for the length of your video or a bit longer.
3. Open your media player of choice
4. Open the recording you have on your hard drive and position it to start but don't start it yet.
5. Start the meeting
6. Click screen sharing and then choose the media player with your video
7. Click Recording
8. Start the Recording in the media player
9. Click Stop Recording when you are finished.

You should now get a copy of the replay in your online folder and can then proceed to use the feature. Make sure you associate any tests or materials with the training.

Alternatively you could show the video using the Video Labs but that seems to be in a small window so I'm not sure how big the replay would be

Hi, sorry I'm not sure what happened to the video that was originally posted with this announcement, but I've added it back again. With Anytime Training you can use registration and tests with your recorded training and report on it.

Yup me too -- it looks like you can see who has accessed the recordings though.

Love the concept but same issue -- need to be able to edit the videos. Can we record them using GTT to our account and then download, edit and upload and replace keeping tests etc in place and publishing for Anytime use?
