We have applications tied down pretty tight at my company- all .exe, .dll, .msi, etc files are implicitly denied and we add specific exceptions in Group Policy when needed. I have verified that the Group Policy Object is being applie for this user on this computer and there are no conflicts. I am running into an issue where I have added explicit allows for GoToAssist, the LogMeIn publisher, and for the .dll file "g2ax_combined_customer.dll".
However I still receive the error "error loading dll g2ax_combined_customer.dll" when I download the customer app from
https://fastsupport.com/ . I do NOT receive this error when logged in as a Domain Admin on the same machine.
I have searched and found this conversation on google:
https://community.gotoassist.com/gotoassist/topics/gotoassist_fails_to_start_due_to_g2ax_combined_cu...but a full uninstall and removal of temporary files did not work.
- I have file hash exceptions for G2A-RS Customer Attended App.exe and GoToAssist Opener.exe.
- I have publisher exception for Signed by O=LOGMEIN, INC., L=BOSTON, S=MASSACHUSETTS, C=US.
- I also have .dll exception by file hash for g2ax_combined_expert.dll
- I have tried uninstalling and removing all Citrix or GoToAssist files from Program Files, AppData, etc.
Is anyone able to assist me in my problem? Why do I receive this error and how to fix?
Thank you
