Cannot Connect. Error: "GoToMyPC cannot be started at this time." "Could not create temporary file"

Hello,

Suddenly, for the first time, I get the error message, "Sorry, GoToMyPC cannot be started at this time. Please try again in a few minutes. When I checked the crash log in the G2 folder I found:

A deadline is fast approaching for me. What do I do.

I'm running Windows 10 Home Edition. I have turned off my firewall, but to no avail.

Please help. My deadline is bearing down on me.

Problem solved...somehow. I tried clearing out all temporary files in Disk Cleanup, but nothing seemed to happen. After getting nowhere with permissions to delete the viewer, I tried just rebooting. The file was gone from the G2_2014 folder in %temp%. When I tried reconnecting to GTMPC: success. I'm not sure what I did, but I'm good to go now. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Thank you for the suggestion. I confirmed that I'm an administrator on this computer, but I keep getting told I don't have permission to delete g2viewer.exe. I tried going into cmd.exe as an administrator and deleting the viewer that way, but it told me "access is denied." I'll GTMPC Tech support and see what I can find. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hey Chris,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting to your host PC from your client PC. This may be something more technical in nature that we need to address through our GoToMyPC Technical Support department

From the log files it looks like your system is having a permissions issue. I'd try connecting under an alternate Window user profile or you can try deleting the viewer folder in the temp path outlined in the log files and then attempt to re-connect to your host computer. If these steps do not resolve the issue please contact our technical support department directly for more advanced in-depth troubleshooting.
