Gotomypc Host service does not start up

We have been running GoToMyPc for years

Recently I have a machine where the GoToMyPc service will not start up automatically??

I am thinking a recent update from MS???

Windows 7 Pro

I have tried reinstalling the Host software...??

At a loss on what to do next.

Hey Morgan,

Sorry for the problem there.

If you are running GoToMyPC build 2215 or higher, this issue is currently under investigation.

A temporary workaround for this issue can be found by following these steps:

Search Windows for services.msc
Right click the GoToMyPC Service
Click Properties
Set Startup type to "Automatic Delayed Start"
Save
Reboot and test to confirm GoToMyPC starts automatically

My organization also has the same issue recently. The computers are either Windows 10 or Windows 7. Seem to be either an update from GTMPC or Microsoft that causing the problem.

Auto delayed start GTMPC service seems to be working for most cases, but there is no gurantee that this will fix the issue for good.

I'm on Windows 10 and I've uninstalled and reinstalled GoToMyPC but I still don't have the GoToMyPC service listed. So I can't apply this fix.

We are starting to get other people who are having the same issue.

I also have just started having the same problems on two different computers. I tried the delayed start option, but still will not start. I uninstalled GotoMyPc and reinstalled it and then rebooted the computer and it worked. I then rebooted the computer again to make sure and it did not start. I can start it manually, but this does no good if windows updates and restarts while I am away and I am not there. I have a great need to make this work soon as I will be traveling for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.
