I need Anytime with uploaded Recordings... possible to do this? Or even needed? Workaround?

I spent an hour reading and can't determine if this is possible.  I think the user experience is most important here, and I'm eager to learn how to do this. 

 

 I want attendees to be easily able to do the following:

• Independently register for and purchase an Anytime session
• Watch a 90 minute Recording 
• Have their attendance verified
• Have their attention tracked if possible
• Take a Test
• Get a Certificate

I want to offer multiple classes. I have existing YouTube content that I want to upload. 

 

Question 1) Why can't we upload our own recordings for Anytime content? Is that still the case?

 

I assume I can’t use GoToWebinar to satisfy these requirements, so I signed up for a trial on GoToTraining.

Making new recordings is a HUGE undertaking, so the deciding factor in buying GTT is whether I can use my current library of content. It seems silly that I can’t do that.

 

Possible workaround: I understand I can include YouTube links in Activities. But I can’t see how to set up Anytime without an existing recording. Therefore,

 

Question 2) How can I set up Anytime classes without existing Recordings?

I did a workaround. I used a third party plugin to direct my speakers' output to the microphone. This all happens on the software side and doesn't use any physical cables. 

 

I ran a Training and shared my screen which was showing my YouTube content. I captured this portion of the screen. When this Training had run its course, I published the recording. Hacky workaround but it works. Eventually we'll create fresh video.
