Audio not working in breakout rooms

We've been testing GoTo Training and have had a really bad experience:

Whenever we start breakout rooms 9/10 times there is no audio. The mic icon does not appear and nobody can chit chat. The permission screen does not appear either.

Obviously we have audio configured before starting the rooms. We've tried with starting breakouts only with audio, then adding screen share. Or starting straight with screen share. again, sometimes it works, but most f the time it does not.

Closing the browser and opening it again also made no difference.

Also we found that screen sharing was buggy. I could share my screen, but when another attendee shared theirs, I could not see anything. but.. a third attendee in the breakout room could see the screen share.

We were all using chrome.

If we can't get a consitently smooth experience with this tool we'll have to ask for a refund.

There should be no issue with screen sharing in Breakout Rooms. If you're seeing this behavior with every session that you host, please contact Customer Support directly so they can investigate the possible causes.

Could you give a more specific timeframe on when you expect this to rollout?

Thank you for you quick response. It would be amazing to have one product. I spend a significant amount of time explain to folks the differences among the products and which is better for various situations.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. We do have plans to unify the services by 2021 in order to offer more flexible services and feature sets on demand. I appreciate your patience in the meantime.

We are having similar issues - on a continual basis. We have stopped using the breakouts in GoToTraining because it doesn't work! Audio seems to be "muted by organizer" so nobody can unmute. And sometimes organizers end up in breakout rooms. Webcam use is spotty, at best. Our workaround is to do the training in GoToTraining and then do breakouts using Google Meet.

I think we may have to drop our GoToTraining license! It's very expensive and doesn't work well. We are having better luck with GoToWebinar as far as technology - LogMeIn seems to be focusing on upgrading that platform while ignoring GoToTraining - I hope that somebody from the company is listening. Here's an idea: Get rid of all platforms: GoToMeeting, GoToTraining and GoToWebinar and have ONE platform that does EVERYTHING. It's so confusing switching among these three - each works differently.

Yes. It is not the most intuitive tool out there. Very confusing.

Yeah. We are familiar with Zoom but our company would not allow us to use it on the network.

We gave up on this product and went over to Zoom which has:

built-in breakout rooms in the product

ability to move participants between rooms (which is super important when more than one proctor is in the meeting)

Actually we're just waiting for Teams to roll out the breakout rooms feature to all tenants. They've already implemented hand raising.

The big question is: when will GTT include the breakouts in the native app instead of a webRTC browser based solution which means a break in the medium and causes a lot of trouble. Participants don't get they have different controls there and the audio/video routing is different + browsers right management, firewalls etc.

We are encountering the same issues. Spotty audio in breakouts and when we come back together, someone always seems to lose sound. Our testing seemed to impact whomever was in Breakout B (only 2 breakouts during testing). In addition, the organizer cannot switch breakout rooms.
