Using the GoTo Training app on iOS with the Activities feature has a couple of issues, issues that were verified on a support call with one of your agents.
The expected action and result during an Activity when sharing a linked Youtube video via Materials should be a sync'd pause and play of the video between Presenter and Audience when the presenter initiates those actions.
The outcome works on both Edge and Chrome browsers but oddly, very oddly actually, not on LogMeIn's proprietery GoTo training App, where you'd expect functions would work.
Additonally, it was also confirmed there is a severe audio bug that occurs intermittently, this was verified on my iOS device, my colleagues iOS device and your support agents device. It can only be explained as a contant drone that does not stop even when the app is closed and the phone is locked. The only way to end this noise is to reopen the App and exit the session.
Another issue within the iOS app is the video placement moves from it's centred location to partially 'off-screen' when the device is rotated to landscape view. Again, confirmed on multiple iOS devices.
Those are the major issue in my opinion. Additonally, it would be useful to include the option to disable the audience ability to click anywhere on screen to pause and play the Youtube video.
The Share, Watch Later and recommended videos overlays could also be hidden or disabled.
I assume the Goto back end takes the supplied link and uses an embed code so I'm sure these options can somehow be implemented as options for the Presenter to disable.
It makes sense to have these options if the intent is to have all audience members watch a video in sync from start to finish to then be in a position for all audience members to move on to the next part of the training session.
