Overall feedback

• Not user friendly
• In general, I found it not at all intuitive to use. I participate in many learning sessions and this has been the most difficult to understand and try to use.
• I wanted to activate my camera and then received the message “Click Allow” so that people can see you. Not logical.
• I could not click on anything; my screen was gray, and I hear people but could do nothing else and had to exit.
• Confusing experience
• Overall the experience was uncomfortable and stressful

 

Webversion:

Central training room:

• Materials
  • some pictures were very blurry/pixelated

 

• override the screenshare.
• some take long to load

 

• Exit button
  • is close to 'close full screen button' be careful

• No presenter view
• No option to click presenter

 

• Can only see host.  no-one else.
• You only see the presenter

 

• not clear how to adjust view to see more of the presenter.

  • We are all on mute, but we can hear each other
  • presenter can’t mute people from the console

  • Trainer send a chat message and that was not visible when you step in the training later
  • at the time of a pop-up nothing shows in the webversion

 

Breakout:

• Presenter/host
  • Can’t get out of breakroom when visiting (exit training)
• Poll

 

• Can’t see the poll
• Some of the polls where blank
• poll does not work in browser
• no poll was seen

 

• I could not complete them/close them

• Can’t see the test
• do not see questions of the test
• Some of the tests where blank

  • Everybody is on mute but I can hear everybody
  • unable to turn on my sound in the breakoutrooms
  • All users appear muted, but we can hear everyone
  • I could not even find the icon to on sound in the breakout room.
  • on mute in the general session and can’t change it when switching to the breakout room.
• Webcam
  • do have the option to use this in the breakoutroom - was able to turn this on
  • can’t see attendees in the breakout, only hear attendees
  • You could turn on the webcam, but it was very confusing and not intuitive on how to do it.
• Material
  • Pixelated

 

Web 2 desktop

• can’t enter desktop version, have to reload page
• We lost a few participants in this process
• The webversion didn’t automatically turn off when transferring to desktop version
• Transfer button is hard to find, not logical

 

 

 

Desktop version

Central training

• Webcam
  • Only when asked by host
  • Host can keep on asking people to turn on their webcam, no warning that the max has been reached.
  • Only participants can see the max of 6 webcams has been reached.
  • In GoToMeeting didn’t have this problem 
  • gave strange views, like a double screens
  • You could turn on the webcam, but it was very confusing and not intuitive on how to do it.
  • Has a limit of only 6 people.
• Chat
  • so busy trying to understand how to navigate, did not see any chats.
  • was located to the side of a small window. It was not very user friendly
• Test
  • was not working for me, it was showing as blank
  • I could not complete them/close them
  • Can’t relauch a test
  • Max 8 answers
• Poll
  • at the time of a poll nothing shows in desktop version
  • was not working for me, it was showing as blank

  • Big delay in presentor view (poor quality)

Breakout:

• Transfer
  • Switched to desktopversion when going in break out
  • During the breakout, I was sent from the Desktop back to the web version somehow
• Poll
  • After submitting my answer nothing happens, the poll freezes.
• View
  • When being in the breakout room, someone from the other breakoutroom popped up out of nowhere. I’m not sure why. She was not in our breakout group.
  • When clicking her (point before) away (which seems the obvious thing to do), you can’t and immediately leave the training!
  • Can still see the people left behind in the “central’’ room (multiple screens)
  • While in breakout, can see participant that doesn’t belong in my breakout
• Chat
  • Presenters chat doesn’t go to breakout rooms

That's accurate feedback. I used GTT for a year but have now moved to Zoom. I can do everything I did in GTT, I don't get complaints from students who struggle with the GTT interface and I find Zoom much more reliable - breakouts actually work.  I have more work to do in administering  sessions and distributing materials, but I am finding it much less stressful. GTT could be a fantastic product but it needs a complete overhaul.
