I've recently encountered a strange issue using Rescue to support systems at a client location.
First, let it be known that Rescue is NOT installed on this particular system. Connection was first, and since, established using a PIN in combination with the www.logmein123.com website.
The problem I'm running into is on the client side, the chat window to the technician console runs on startup. We need this to not happen because the systems are setup to boot into custom training software or startup. Below is a list of steps I've taken up to the time of this post.
- Rebooted
- Verified Rescue isn't set to run on startup.
- Verified Rescue isn't listed under All Programs.
- Verified Rescue isn't listed under Add/Remove programs.
- Verified Rescue isn't running as a service.
- Attempted to start a new session using a PIN, connection attempts keep failing when attempting this method.
Currently, once our client is available I'd like to check under Programs to make sure it isn't listed in there.
I'm also sending our client a link to install our Calling Card in an attempt to install then uninstall in hopes it will prevent the issue from continuing.
If anyone can offer any addition info/support it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all assistance.
