Irritating pop ups

I would really like the ability to completely turn off the irritating pop up that says "logmein connected..." in the upper right hand corner. I turn it off in virtually every session. It especially interferes with closing, minimising windows. I realize you can move it, but it will default back to the same location. Even the ability to park it somewhere else (and it stays..forever) would be an improvement.
