Alerts for installing software

Hello, I had a workstation that was not registering with Central. I went an did a 'repair'. After I finished, I got 58 alerts telling me that new software was installed. It was one alert per installed software. This was unexpected. Is this normal behavior ?

@AD2 That can happen when a full update check occurs. If you have an alert package attached to the machine with a Software Inventory rule, you will see a rapid succession of alerts after repairs.
