I'm wondering if Hamachi hosts any other servers outside the US.
I'm based in Australia, so the latency is about ~250ms. For getting additional computers to communicate, it will make it 500ms, which makes it unplayable for games.

Sounds good, but I don't think this overcomes the geographic constraint.
Even though it may improve latency, at this point I might as well go for a VPS provider that has a server in Aus for significantly better latency.
Sounds like a good product imo, but just needs an improvement in terms of geographic flexibility.
@Bingdom While we don't operate any Hamachi servers specifically in Australia, we do offer an upgrade in speed to paid subscribers.
