MAJOR ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE - PINNING WEBCAMS

I just ran a test with our staff interpreters for the deaf and hard of hearing - you can only pin one webcam and when you do that, the pinned webcam replaces the larger spot in the view window where the presenter's screen share is located. This is TERRIBLE. The end result is that our interpreting team will have to provide their services IN ANOTHER PLATFORM, Microsoft Teams. By the way we also testing GoToMeeting and pinning webcams is no longer an option.

We have multiple interpreters for our webinars (they switch off every 15-20 minutes to take breaks), so GoToTraining is NO LONGER AN OPTION for that aspect. If we have to run two meeting platforms, this is driving us further and further away from the GoTo product line.

Just know that this is my G-rated discussion post. I'm much angrier than this.

We have been actively working on the new GoToTraining experience, a number of features like breakouts, activities, and joining directly from the browser had to be recreated again due to changes to Google Chrome. We have prioritized the most used features and continue to add others.

The ability to save Chat logs is being worked on and will be available in the new experience soon. There is a flexible layout option for the presenter when they are sharing their screen and attendees can resize the webcam vs screen share view.

You can still switch back to the classic GoToTraining for now, this support article explains how.

The ability to pin a webcam is a new feature that we added after customers requested the ability to pin 1 specific webcam, typically the main presenter. Once an attendee pins the specific webcam they want, they can adjust their view in multiple ways:

Use the grab tab to adjust the size of the screen share window vs the webcams
If they have two monitors they can stretch the window over both so that the webcams are on one screen and the screen share is on the other
Disable seeing their own webcam to make more space
In a future update, you will be able to break out the webcams to a separate window completely

In reviewing the posts, it's apparent that major disruptions in functions between Classic and the new experience have been known for over six months and nothing's been done to program them (chat logs, flexible layouts, etc). We aren't asking for new features, we are asking for the old usable features to be a part of the new experience.

If something doesn't give in the next month or so, we will aggressively explore other platforms and bid the GoTo platform adieu. This is ridiculous.
