I recently received this valuable blog " Password Security and the Internet of Things (IoT)"
by Rose de Fremery
https://blog.lastpass.com/2022/08/password-security-and-the-iot/?cid=LP_Global_TRG_Blog_blog-autoupdate&utm_medium=email&utm_source=blog&utm_campaign=lp-global-en-trg-multi--blog-blog-autoupdate&utm_content=blog-autoupdate&mkt_tok=Njc3LVhOVS0yMDMAAAGGJtxlLvZgzlTUOMUCRK-HV3oy91BJguyrkrO9tUm4GAUf5-xP4nLkv-IB5ka0Czk_ey1dLrnXtrtdllFFyqNfqZi8lJWyfkwraik8AMA-1YFXeoVp
It invited Comments at the bottom, and I made three or four, (and included questions and suggestions).
I thought they would be on this forum site but cannot find them.
I supplied an email address as requested by the Comments system.
Am I likely to receive replies, please?
woops by ' Could LP offer an "entirely" second 'keeper .....' I meant entirely SEPARATE seconp password keper i.e. if on was hacked, the other would not be affected.
Thanks Evan.
Here are another couple of questions. (Sorry I have posted here but...)
1) I cannot find how I posted questions before, so I clicked my icon and read Help / Posting messages and it says Click the New Message link but where is that link, please?
2) On my Chromebook, in trying "Passwordless login" I see "Accept the code we sent" to Authenticator on my Android phone. I see the code but I don't see how to "Accept" e.g. there's no button called Accept. To succeed I have to click "Having trouble" and then I can type in the code shown on my phone. Where am I going wrong please?
Here's an unrelated suggestion.
Accepting the fact that all password keepers can be hacked, I use two as a backup to each other, but I cannot synchronise them. Could LP offer an "entirely" second 'keeper and design them to somehow sync securely?
The second 'keeper could be sold as an extra to LP.
As the article by Rose came from this Blog, and ir wasn't to do with a product, I wouldn't think the Support appropriate.
Can you contact her for an answer, or provide me with a (secure privacy-considered) way and I will try myself, please?
I thought her article and my questions/suggestions would be of use to other bloggers and indeed anyone using IoT devices.
