I'm having trouble re-pairing the 2-factor authentication in LastPass.
Today, on logging in for the first time in a long time, I was told that for security I need to reset the 2-factor authentication code.
But after scanning the QR there was no way to completing the re-pairing.
I was offered the option to continue (i.e. to the account) without re-pairing, but warned I would eventually have to re-pair the 2-factor auth.
So once logged in, I immediately went to the Account Settings to manually re-pair the 2-factor authentication but I encounter the same obstacle.
The steps I take are this:
1) In Multifactor Options I click on 'edit' for the LastPassMFA
2) I then click Edit next to Edit details.
3) Per the prompt, I then enter the Master password.
4) It says "Click to enroll your device with LastPass Authenticator" and I click Enrol.
5) This redirects to a webpage PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT, where under Primary / Use LastPass Authenticator, I click "EDIT".
6) On PAIR A NEW DEVICE OR APP, I click START PAIRING AGAIN.
7) The next page is SET UP MOBILE, and I click on NEXT.
😎 I then reach the QR code (SET UP MOBILE /
'Pair authenticator app with your account' page).
9) I launch the authenticator app and scan the code, and it scans. But the SET UP MOBILE /
'Pair authenticator app with your account' page with the QR provides no option to proceed, i.e. an option to enter at code to complete the process, only a BACK button.
How to I complete the re-pairing?
I can't think what's wrong or different from the last time I needed to change or re-pair 2-factor auth, but I never had this before.
