logmein rescue and kaspersky

Hey guys i seem to have a problem changing settings for clients running kaspersky.

I log onto a client machine and take control, I can then open the kaspersky internet security v7 (latest build) main window, however when I try to click on any tabs or settings links nothing happens.

Is this because logmein rescue is not able to do this?

Make sure you have unattended or at the very least client credentials activated to be on the safe side then Download Kaspersky and execute .exe file to install ...no sooner than does it install it then asks for what method of licensing is required...at this stage it is common for the remote activity to freeze. So by doing a Safe Reboot you then open up the Settings on the Kaspersky control panel and head to:

- Threats and Exclusions
- Trusted zone
- CLick the TAB Trusted applications
- Add
- Applications
- Select Logmein.unattended.exe and Logmeinrescue .exe thus checking the boxes to enforce exceptions. Make sure you’ve hit Apply then Save then reboot into Normal mode. Open up the control panel in Kaspersky after bootup and enter license details then run updates etc.

I think if you do a search for PROTECT CLIENT you will find a few messages that may explain the problem. I think it was explained for Zone Alarm, but should give you a big lead in what to look for and how to solve it.
