Rectangle Feature availability

In the old version, I used to be able to do a "clean" screenshare, which would remove the windows bar from the bottom of the screen and the tabs from the top of the browser. It's very odd to me that they would make the decision to remove that feature in the new version. Our company has a browser-based product, so when I am doing training sessions or webinars for customers, it would be really nice if I could make it so that they are only viewing the web application, and not the rest of my browser. I may switch back to the old version, but I think I read somewhere that the old version will no longer be available later this year.

Thanks for getting back to me. It sounds like you would be interested in the 'rectangle feature' which allows you to share a portion of the screen, it's a bit different from clean screen, which shares your screen while hiding your background, task bar, and desktop icons.

This is also in development for release in the GoTo app. I don't have a release date yet, but we will post an update on this idea. Feel free to add your vote.

Hi Kate,

I am aware of the Applications option. When I select my browser under applications, it shares the entire screen and I cannot limit it to just the PolicyMap tool. It would be great if you could bring the clean screenshare option back.

Have you tried to share "Applications' when sharing your screen? You can achieve 'clean' screenshare where window bars and browser tabs are hidden during screen sharing by choosing to share the browser window. This helps limit what viewers can see to only the browser content.

The clean screenshare feature itself may return this year, we continually work to enhance and restore useful capabilities based on user feedback, so your comment helps us know that this is desired.
