The link to the recorded webinar does not appear in the followup e-mails sent to attendees and those who missed the webinar. How can I correct this error?
Hi Glenn,
Thanks for the checklist and hopefully it will help others.
I went through the checklist and I have already made the settings you suggested previously.
I was hoping to see some magic setting but alas it was the settings you recommended.
I don't want to be a bother so I thought I try first.
So I will schedule a meeting. Hopefully you will get a copy of what we find.
Thanks,
Marlo
After running test webinars in both Classic GTW and the newer GoTo App I have not been able to recreate this issue, so I believe what is happening is the result of a settings issue and not a bug.
Classic = Orange daisy icon, control panel on the side
GoTo App = G icon, control bar on the bottom of the screen, newer features
There have been a couple of changes around some recording settings, so I am going to cover the options here for everyone. These options are same for webinars hosted in Classic and the GoTo App
@MES I'd like to have Support contact you and hold a remote support session so they can see your screen and make sure nothing is interfering with the settings being applied.
Glenn,
At least I now have some hope! I really don't want to switch to Zoom.
I tried many things, all without any success. Tried a couple of test webinars but no success.
BTW - seems the latest trend is to change the interface. I'd be happy if things stayed the same for a while, Just when you have it well oiled and working some programmers and market people change it up look newer. Microsoft does that about weekly which really frustrates me. If it ain't broken, don;t fix it.
As I previously said, this worked in the past.
I also tried to determine if I had the latest version installed but was not able to determine what version I have. This new interface is so different and hard to work with.
@MES I apologize for the frustrating experience. I am looking into this issue and will run some tests to try and recreate what is happening and identify the cause.
This is what they get with NO link.
Thanks for replying. I was about to give up and didn't want to try reach out to support a third time.
What you outline is exactly the process I have tried many times and the link to the recording never appears in the e-mail that is sent to attendees after the webinar and those who missed it.
In the last two days have spoken to TWO of your support people. They argued with me and did not understand what I was attempting even though I tried to explain the process and then was repeatably told me I can't do that. I ask why there was a link to the recording library in the e-mail and they said you can't do that. . . .
At my request, they escalated my issue to the next level of support. Same exact response and obviously he was not listening to the process I outlined. Suggest I join the community - did that no response (see below)
I'm now so frustrated I.m ready to cancel my account and I've been with you guys for many years.
I did the webinar and edited it and put it back into the recording library and then tried link it in the e-mail that goes out after the webinar.
What's the use of recording a webinar if the attendees can't watch it after the webinar? I even tried to paste the link to the recording manually in the e-mail. That put it into the e-mail but clicking on it doesn't work.
I have done this in the past and you can see that some of my recordings have been viewed 100 times. I know I didn't manually send an e-mail all of them. So I know it as worked the past but it appear something has changed. Maybe it's my version of of GoTo Webinar.
I also joined the community and ask the question but no reply or reference to my query.
You are my last hope to figure this out.
THANK YOU and hope to hear back from you soon. I have another webinar in two week and have started to look for a replacement to GoTo. Not a threat, just being upfront.

Hi @MES, welcome to the community.
If you wish to include a link to the recording you can add it to the follow up emails after the webinar. Online recordings can take a few minutes to complete processing, but once they are finished they will be in your Video Library and available to add.
