Presenter Role Does Not Have Access to the Videos Tab

Hello GoTo Support,

We are currently evaluating the Videos feature in GoTo Webinar for our webinar workflow.

According to your documentation:

it states that organizers upload videos and that the current Presenter using the desktop application should be able to access the Videos option and control playback.

However, our testing shows different behavior.

We tested both the GoTo desktop application and the browser version of GoTo Webinar.

Test results:

Organizer can access the Videos tab and play uploaded videos.

When Presenter rights are assigned to a Panelist, the Videos tab is not available at all.

The Presenter only has access to Share Screen; the Videos option is completely missing.

The same behavior occurs in both the desktop application and the browser version.

Could you please clarify:

Is there any setting that enables the Videos feature for the Presenter role?

Is this functionality available only in specific plans, application versions, or webinar modes?

If this is the intended behavior, could you please confirm that only Organizers are allowed to control preloaded videos?

The product team confirmed this behavior is expected, at the moment only the Organizer can access and control preloaded videos in GoTo Webinar.

We are updating the support article to better reflect how it currently works.

I definitely hear the feedback that allowing Presenters to control preloaded videos would be useful for webinar workflows. We’ve shared this with the product team and asked whether this capability can be added in the future. We’ll share updates if we hear more.
