Chapters and transcript availability on simulive events in GoTo Stage

Can you please add functionality to include chapters and transcript when creating a simulive event and publishing on your GoToStage channel as surely should be a standard accessibility request.
I have spoken with support and found out that chapters and transcripts are only available currently if you create a simulive event and share event link directly with audience, however if done that way, audience cannot engagement with us in terms of surveys and questions. We do not have a mechanism to email anyone in the country who may need to watch our content ..hence why we promote our content on Go To Stage

It does make sense.

Given the current platform behavior, the best approach may be to separate the “live event experience” from the “on-demand viewing experience” depending on which features are most important for your audience.

Here are the options available today:

GoToStage with a shared webinar recording:
This option allows you to share the webinar recording with a transcript available to viewers. Viewers can view poll and survey results in presentation but can not participate. However, Chapter navigation is not currently supported in GoToStage recordings, but there are timestamps provided in the transcript.
Simulive webinars:
Simulive is designed to function like a live event experience, which is why it supports interactive features such as polls, surveys, and handouts. In this format, transcripts are only available as live closed captions during playback and are not displayed as a post-event transcript.
If you want chapters you can, you can Share Webinar Recording:
Sharing the webinar recording directly allows you to including both transcripts and chapter navigation. Viewers can review poll results/surveys from the original session.

For surveys specifically, you can still send post-webinar surveys to both attendees and absentees through the follow-up email after the original live webinar ends.

Thanks for the above response. So in our large organisation we host regular webcasts to large audiences and always have a waitlist.
Once the live webcast cast has taken place , we edit the recording and then put this up as a new Simulive event to view on demand, a day or so later after the live event, for a set duration. We publish this event on GoToStage and have handouts and surveys included and promote GoToStage as the registration link.
Is there any help you could give in how we could better manage this as chapter navigation would be so helpful aswell as a transcript .We utilise GoToStage as our landing page for registrations.

Thanks for getting back to me, and I apologize for the confusion from our support team and my previous post.

Simulive events are designed to function like live webinars, regardless of whether they are viewed on GoToStage. Because of this, Simulive sessions do not generate full transcripts or chapters. Instead, attendees follow along during the event using live closed captions, similar to Standard or Webcast webinars.

I understand you would like to combine interactive features such as polls and surveys with transcripts and chapter navigation. However, because Simulive is designed to replicate a live event experience, viewers cannot access a full transcript or skip between chapters during playback.

if you edit the recording and set chapters, they show up when you share the recording as a link, but they do not show up on GoToStage. Only the time stamped transcript shows up on GoToStage.

If you can share more about what you are trying to accomplish for your audience, it would help us better understand your use case and allow me to share that feedback with the team.

Hi KateG, thanks for your response . Yes i can see that option but that's not what we are requesting … we are requesting that when you create a simulive webinar and publish the event on GoToStage with a pre recorded video, the video does not allow for chapters to be added nor does it provide a transcript. I ran the test with one of the support guys and they agreed its not yet an option, but it should be

While Chapters aren't currently available, transcripts are currently available for a majority of plans. Reviewing your account, you should have access to this. If you open the recording in your channel, you will see two tabs under your recording. Can you let me know if you are seeing something different or looking somewhere else? Thanks
