Hamachi service fails to start on macOS 27 Golden Gate (LaunchDaemon / BTM error)

Hi Support Team,

Hamachi is not working on macOS 27 Golden Gate.

Whenever I open the client, it pops up the error:
"The Hamachi service is not running. Run 'sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.hamachi.plist' to start it."

However, running the command in Terminal fails with "Bootstrap failed: 5: Input/output error" due to macOS Background Task Management (BTM) and legacy kernel extension blocks.

Please update the macOS client and its LaunchDaemon scripts to properly support modern macOS systems. How can this be resolved?

Hi @Bobby_125, welcome to the community.

This issue will be addressed in an upcoming release, but for now you can use the following commands:

sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.hamachi.plist
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.hamachimb.plist
sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.hamachi.plist
launchctl load /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.hamachimb.plist

Hi @cobi1024, the commands are no longer needed as we have released an updated Hamachi version 2.3.0.82 which is is compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate. You can download it from our https://vpn.net/ site

has this been tested? i was on travel when my computer decided to update to macos 27 and thankfully i had a time machine backup to restore from with macos 26. still refuse to update until this works since i use hamachi to stay connected to my colo and homelab boxes for business.
