Unattended Access

Good Morning all,

I am new to the community but we have been using LMI Rescue for around 8 months now. It is brilliant and gives us all the functionality that we need.

However I am now experiencing a little issue, we have started using the unattended access tool, which is brilliant, it appears to be causing a problem with explorer.exe starting when the users are logging in though. I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before as I cannot find anything about it in the knowledge base.

Any help with this would be much appreciated as it is causing a lot of our machines to take well over 10 mins to log in now.

Ideally we would like to continue using this tool but at the moment we are having to revoke it.

I'm seeing this frequently too. Bringing up Task Manager and doing a restart from there has always taken care of the issue on that reboot but this can be hard to explain to my customers when I'm suppose to be getting rid of problems, not creating new ones. Looking forward to a fix on this issue!

It took me a while to figure out that this was a side effect of LMI Rescue unattended access! I've run into it several times now. I think that it's only happened with Windows XP computers.

I've also noticed inconsistent behavior when a Ctrl-Alt-Del is sent to a computer with unattended access - at times it has automatically sent the credentials and hit the Enter key without asking for my blessing, which has made it difficult to log on as a different user. It seems not to bring up the traditional LMI Rescue box asking permission to log on with a particular set of credentials. I like that box.

I'm looking forward to the explorer.exe problem being resolved. Keep us posted!
