Tech console crashes after login

We have a computer where Windows XP has been reinstalled.  We have updated to SP3 and installed Firefox 3.6.9.  Rescue has been installed and when you login it opens the console but it immediately crashes with a message that dissappears before we can read it.   Any ideas?

Support gave me this solution:

 

Please try creating a new Firefox profile, using the Profile Manager.
