I have XP and I'm trying to keep my Windows Startups as brief as possible. I don't really have a need to have Log Me In start with Windows. But at the same time, I don't want be on a plane headed somewhere and realize that I forgot to enable it before I left. I thought the problem could be solved by taking it out of the Windows Start roster and setting the Windows Task Manager to automatically open the program at the same time each day. However, there doesn't seem to be a single .exe that will do that. As close as I could get was to find one that would allow the Task Manager to cause the Log Me In icon to appear in the system tray at a certain time, but that of course does NOT open or enable the program. I’m thinking that Windows must know the secret, as it can open and enable the program, place the icon in the tray, etc., all in one fell swoop. After all, normally, this happens anytime Windows starts. The trick is figuring out how this can be done manually, or if it's even possible.
