1. How long have you been using LogMeIn Rescue? - I have been using LogMeIn Rescue for about 2 years.

2. How are you using Rescue to provide support? - I use Rescue to provide remote support to my clients. Most of my clients have the Calling Card loaded on their computers, so they just click on that icon to connect to me remotely.

3. How will the new features in Rescue Beta give you more control of your IT world? - The new Tear Away Remote Control is a great feature. Since I have multiple monitors, I can now work on more than 1 computer without having to switch between them in the Rescue interface. Connect on LAN is perfect for connecting to new computers, so I do not have to drive to my client's locations to setup them up. All I need to do is configure the server for the new computer and have my client plug in their new computer whenever they want. I can log in and configure LogMeIn at any time without needing to go onsite.

I've been using and promoting LogMeIn Rescue for a little over 3 years.

I am a single technician shop supporting small business and home users all over the country. We provide help with issues ranging from virus removal, and email setup to server administration. I now do almost 75% of my support remotely, and LogMeIn Rescue has been the single reason that I'm able to offer these services efficiently and affordably.

The best feature by far is the ability to have your support sessions in seperate windows. This feature combined with multiple monitors gives me the ability to get a better birds-eye view of what is happening in my support sessions, and I can act quicker, which makes me look even better. I'm so glad that unlike some other companies LogMeIn continues to inovate and take it the next level. Thanks for listening to what would make your customers jobs even easier.

1. How long have you been using LogMeIn Rescue?

I've been using rescue for over a year, almost two.

2. How are you using Rescue to provide support?

Rescue allows us to remotely control new customers who aren't already on our managed service package and is a great selling tool for showing customers our level of customer service. Most customers eagerly roll over to our managed services program after just one session with rescue. It pays for itself time and time again!

3. How will the new features in Rescue Beta give you more control of your IT world?

We used the new rescue beta today for the first time with a new customer and we're already in love with it! We used rescue to deploy Pro2 on one computer for a new client at his office. He wants us to take over all twelve of his computers, so we simply initiated a rescue session from Pro2 in his browser, then used the LAN connect to install Pro2 on all the rest of his PCs without him or us having to physically touch each computer. This saves valuable man hour for us and for the client! The detachable windows make running multiple PCs as easy as with Ignition! It's the best update we've seen since rescue rolled out to us in beta!

We have been using LogMeIn Rescue for about 4-5 months.

We use Rescue to provide remote IT support for our Sales Reps around the globe. We also have Chinese and German facilities that we provide IT support to from our stateside location. We also use Rescue to facilitate any IT support needed when our employees are are expos, trade shows, or just on the road, as long as they can get an internet connection our IT department is there for them.

The new features in Rescue bring even more capabilities to this tool that ever anticipated. The new Connect on LAN features brings an extra layer of ease to our internet IT support options. We have usually use Remote Administrator to provide support to our employees, but sometimes the Radmin service is not running on the remote machine for whatever reason. Now with the Connnect on LAN features in Rescue we never have to worry about services not running or the employee being present to connect to them. Love the new snap out window feature, works great for Windows 7 snap to feature, when you want to compare Rescue sessions side by side. The local/remote keyboard feature is really handy when working with our Shanghai facility when our report use has a Chinese keyboard layout. I recently working with a German Sales Rep, and had to have the end user key in a forward slash everytime I needed to use one. With the the local/remote keyboard feature, I was able to toggle to use my US keyboard without the end user intervention.

LogMeIn Rescue has been a great time saver for me. I have sites that I support all over the state. (1-3 hours away) LogMeIn Rescue enabled me to be able to troubleshoot issues in minutes, not hours!

3. How will the new features in Rescue Beta give you more control of your IT world? (3+ sentences)

The new "Unattended Acessible" feature will enable me to access a remote PC without having to have another person on the other PC to grant me access to that particular PC. Also, the "Connect to LAN" feature will allow me to add PC's ,to my access list, on the fly with out having to take additional time. This allows me to service workstations at "off-peak" hours, which makes me more efficient as a 1 man IT department.

We are using LogMeIn Rescue to support our on/off campus clients. We also support the states online degree program (20K+ users) as well as providing after hours support for 18 other higher education entities.

The ability to easily connect to computers on our LAN was save our technicians a ton of time.
Our helpdesk staff all have a dual monitor setup and the break-away feature is something they have inquired about for some time. This will help improve the overall efficiency in which "Rescue" calls are handled.
We are also excited about the ability to link our current customer satisfaction survey into our LogMeIn Rescue session.

We utilize LMIRescue as our main way of remote support to our 18 locations in the US. It allows us to transfer files between systems, chat, and see what processes are using the most resources. The ease of remote software installation makes LMI worth the yearly price.

The Snap Out Multi-Monitor sessions will make is so much simplier on our end to support 2 clients as mutliple times.

Connect To LAN is going to allow us so much quicker connections to our clients that are not there.

1. How long have you been using LogMeIn Rescue? I've been using LogMeIn Rescue for about 2-2 1/2 years

2. How are you using Rescue to provide support? We connect to offices all over the US. Navigating our clients to logmein123.com is easy. Calling cards and similar products are not really our thing

3. How will the new features in Rescue Beta give you more control of your IT world? The connect on LAN feature isn't something we'll be using much as far as I can see. Most of the connectivity we make lies outside of our own network. The tear-away is wonderful and something we've been asking for since we began using Rescue. Being able to have two sessions side by side is great. Also, not having to squint to see the screen with be welcome. We actually had to go as far as running IE with no toolbars, status bars, or even an address bar in order to maximize the screen area. The last feature, the group customization is also a welcome feature. We have many different divisions that have different requirements and managers that can now be customized. Good job.

I really like the split screen/tear away functionality, I only currently run a dual monitor setup but atleast now I could log a business case for more!!. Group level customisations will allow us to really market our offering and brand it accordingly. Wake on Lan just makes the LMIR functionality that little bit more functional and removed the need to go power up extra box's manually

We have sites all over the country, and some have transient workers logging into...or trying to...our network. LMIR is AWESOME as an option for getting online quickly, and efficiently. We have some Government and Large Corporate users who need to audit our activities, so the capture utility is invaluable!

We will be able to better utilize the power of LMIR to double-cover our customers who use Pro2. With the LAN feature, we may convert those clients to LMIR completely. Finally having the multiple-page, tear-away view will help us tremendously during large conversion installations.

It is so nice having LMI or LMIR connections to all the desktops during roll-outs. Having to switch back and forth in one window is a bit challenging, but still worth the effort. The new multi-page feature will keep us productive. Kudos!!

The LAN feature will help on our Intranet, which includes around 100 computers. When working on more than one computer the new tear away will help out. We definately can put the custom branding to good use.

I recently started a new small business providing computer support from viruses, errors, software installs and even how-to's and more. This tool has allowed me to reach out to people in different cities and even states giving them a whole new experience with technology and computer support. Giving someone the oportunity to sit at home and watch what I do or go do what they want instead of making a trip to a store gives them more freedom and me as well as I can do this from my own home too.

The new features are great and I can't wait to give it more of a spin but the connect on lan will be great for my home use so I'm not having to go from one computer to another to make any changes. The Tear Away feature is just what I've been waiting for so that I can manage more than one computer at a time and put them on different screens to multi-task and give better customer service. And last the customization to brand it your way is always great to have those options to make you look more profesional and experienced with the help of LogMeIn and they always continue to give out great products.

(3+ sentences) Not sure at the moment - the Connect on LAN option is something I can definitely use. Mostly I would like to see the beta version provide stability enhancements to an already excellent platform.

I use the Rescue service to provide support for multiple clients in remote locations. Much of my work is done for clients two or more hours from my main office and LogMeIn Rescue has been a great solution when I'm not close enough to provide physical support!

LAN connections will be very useful when doing updates/upgrades on multiple machines in the same office. A small amount of running around and then working from my own workstation will be VERY valuable. I have actually used Rescue for this in the past, though the need to run via the web has been a detractor- no more!

1. I have been using log me in rescue, free and pro for year and half

2. We provide remote PC tech support customers. We can fix their PC in a quicker manner. It is easier to train customers on how to keep their PC working better when they can sit in their own chair at their desk and watch.

3. The tear away screen is helping alot. I have 4 monitors and I would have to use other techs log me in so i could work on multible systems at once. We are also looking in the branding our logi into the log me in rescue

We've been using Logmein Rescue for about 2 years now.

We provide Technical Support to SOHO as well as homes. Thanks to Logmein, we save a lot on gas, we can do several calls at once, do less evening/weekend calls and offer a 5 Minute Response Time.

OMG finally a dedicated viewer window!

It is grrrrreeeeeeEEEEEAAAAAAAAT! Having to switch viewing sizes to get back to your desktop all the time just killed your workflow.

It's also easier to switch between sessions now as they each have their own icon on the taskbar.

I swear not having a dedicated window was such a pain, half the time I would use Logmein Rescue just to setup more traditional remote access software on the remote PC!

Not anymore.....Thank You so much!!!!

Finally, I would like a way to disable the toolbar at the top of the Tear-Away window and the status bar at the bottom. I want to maximize the viewable desktop space of the remote PC. I do a lot of work via laptop and my screen is not very large, the more stuff that can be eliminated from the viewer window, the better.

It will allow me to better manage my clients at the same time and work on them in a more efficient manner. Specifically allowing me to use more then one window at a time per client via the new remote control feature. As a tech company we will be able to use the customer service as a central control unit and run LAN support to all users without interrupting their work.

:smileyvery-happy: All our customers are very satisfied with our remote support based on LogMeIn Rescue. Interesting that sometime I am a "customer" and "support guy" in one - when regular remote desktop connection to the served server is not good enough I use LogMeIn Rescue.

With LogMeIn Rescue i get to see important details and listen to what the customer has to say.

Connect On LAN will save me from having someone login so that i can fix her computer, now i can just fix them when they go out to lunch!
The Tear Away will tear away my pains when installing or fixing software on Multiple computers! I am loving this! Now i won't need to Minimise the full screen to get to the other machines and i can see ten computers all at the same time and that is a lot of POWER! With the File Manager Enhancement i won't need to Launch Remote when i just need to move files. Awesome! With the Screen Recording Storage Enhancement i can find the videos where i need to find them, they were bound to get lost on my desktop. The Self-Hosted Technician Survey will spark Technician-Client relations improvement and just might be the birth of a new KBase! I Just love the new Features!

We use rescue mainly to support our field staff. However, we lately have found need to use it to assist some of our clients and vendors.

The tear-away remote control will make it much easy to support multiple sessions. Connect-on LAN keeps everything inside our network. While we currently do not have a need for the Group level customizations, we can see the benefit of branding and added security for those organizations that do.

The capability to spread the sessions across multiple screens is a great feature that allows the tech to be on top of all sessions at the same time. As a remote support tech company will be able to use the customer service as a central control unit and run LAN support to all users without interrupting their work. Two great features!!

I love the multiple monitor feature. Tear-Away RC feature will be mostly used so sessions will appear in seperate windows. Being able to customize the applet makes my presence more professional.

We've used LogMeIn Rescue tools for going on 3 years now with much appreciation

We are able to tap into our 2000+ end-user computers anywhere on the globe. These consist of PC's and Macs, with well over half of them being laptops. Being able to tap into computers and see what's "actually" going on, as opposed to what the end-user is telling us, is a god-send.

(1) Being able to connect without user intervention will be helpful for those more challenging end-users who don't understand technology and who don't want to understand technology, they just want to do their jobs

(2) Being able to configure the support windows for better multi-tasking will remove some confusion for our techs, who sometimes get confused when servicing 3+ customers at once

(3) As we move into multi-tenancy support of clients in December, it will be great to be able to white-label our services to those clients and appear as just another internal IT resource

The new features will make it more efficient to handle multiple tasks on two monitors. The Connect On-LAN option is great! We can continue to service multiple workstations from one location which drastically increases work productivity. Overall I think the new additions to the console are perfect for running support more efficiently. Way to go Logmein!!

Support to internal clients using rempote PC's. Sales force, traveleing execs, etc.

Tear-away for two side-by-side sessions is excellent. It's probably the chief complaint I hear from our other techs.

The new file manager option for moving files is very nice. Great for moving files "out of the way" during reinstalls, etc.

LAN option will be a HUGE piece for us. With Win 7 VNC is a pita. We've had no luck using it at all. IF the lan option's kinks are worked out to make the connection initiation smoother and work better (such as a pre-installable client) then this will really help us. We are a multi-building 135 acre campus, so round trips to visit a user can take 30 plus minutes. That's a bit much for a printer install.

1. We have been using Logmein Rescue for about 1 1/2 years.

2. We are usning Logmein Rescue to support our users in our remote branch offices on the desktops, workstations, servers and phone systems. We also support our clients with issues that they are having with their computers, print drivers and multi-function machines.

3. The connect over lan feature will be an awesome feature for us for connection to our branch offices. It appears to be a faster connetion. The tear away might become invaluable, the connection to multiple File Managers and easily transfer files from a remote computer to another is a great feature. We store hundreds of files, utilities, drivers on servers that are needed for customers and our internal users. It will make it much easier to transfer those files to who needs them.

Having access to multiple monitors is a excellent feature as you can be connected to servers and clients to troubleshoot network connectivity problems.
