Is anyone else running into trouble with Connect On Lan working? I've tried it on two networks (peer-to-peer). One was Vista/7 computers, the other was all XP computers.
Support spent two hours remotely troublshooting the problem on their end and couldn't get a fix, then replied and said you have to disable UAC on the target machine first (which seems ridiculous) unless you're on a domain.
So basically that means it won't work on XP or any vanilla installation of Vista or 7 on a standard LAN network.
Has anyone else made it work WITHOUT disabling UAC on the target computers? If I have to registry hack each computer then I have to be AT each computer. If I was AT them to begin with I'd just have installed LMI Free and not worried about COL at all. Seems like a backwards implementation thus far.
I'd be interested to hear anyone else's reports of how it's working for them in a non-domain environment.
Thanks.
