Remote turning on???

Is there any way to turn the remote computer ON (if it is shout down)? Does anybody knows is that possible, and how to setup computers to do this?

In order for a computer to be turned on remotely (via wake-on-lan not Rube Goldberg style) you will first have to make sure your hardware can Wake-on-lan. You will then have to do some basic networking to get it all done.

Can I throw a third party website link down? If not use Google and search for wake on lan, click on the second link that says wake on lan mini HOWTO
