New software quite depressing & poorly conceived

A few days I clicked to 'update' and the new software is so full of bugs I'm finding it unworkable.

1. It keeps prompting me to save the file, even after I've saved it a dozen times.

2. The only way I can run it is to go to my downloads and click it after saving it.

3. It operates crazy, creating multiple windows, and positioning them in odd places.

4. Visually the remote control screen is very bad.

5. The dashboard disappears, so that I can't disconnect from host computer without restarting it all over again.

6. I shouldn't have to download any software in order to use logmein; it's supposed to be a web based solution. Sometimes I'm logging in from a public computer to which I should not be downloading software, period.

I've been a long-time Rescue customer and an ocasional Logmein customer/subscriber. With the new releases, I am now totally confused. The logmein remote control screen is hard to size and always looks fuzzy. There seem to be three or four different places to set the screen size and none of them give me an attractive HD non-fuzzy full screen image. And I seem to have to go in/out of a browser to switch between Remote control and file transfer. I have several "Free" machines and one paid machine . . .can't tell which is which, perhaps the free versions are hobbled purposely??

If you uncheck the box "ask ever time when installing" or something to that effect. The next time you launch the remote control session it will ask you to identify the client as the app to lauch and you can click on the remember this next time.

Using Firefox 26.0 Win 7 on 64 bit.

I don't like the separate launch window but at least it goes on to the remote screen without stopping for the download every time.

For the public computer's there is a line item below the "requires to download" section for a browser based launch for a reduced experience.

I would also like the software to work the way it used to. I liked running it in my web browser. Although I was able to run it in the browser, it won't print and I can't press Ctrl+c to copy information.

Why is this new way better?

LogMeIn states that I can login from almost any computer, anywhere. Can no longer do that because public computers and most business computers will not let me install sofware.

Ditto. The whole reason I loved LogMeIn is because I can work on different machines in different tabs at once. Plus I hated GotoMyPC's pop-up "app". Well, now it looks like the LogMeIn guys thought it was a cool idea.

Everyone needs an app now I guess. It doesn't make any difference now if I use LMI or GotoMyPC, or even Teamveiwer.

I absolutely hate this new pop-up/separate window "app".. Needs to be a choice.

I agree. I used to be able to work remotely using my Wacom tablet in a drafting program. No problems. NOW, it is very erratic. Also, I'm getting weird cursor issues in Outlook and other programs.

This is not acceptable. It is completely useless to me if it's not solved. How about a ROLLBACK until it works?

Couldn't agree more. I have the same issues and concerns about this no-longer-web-based solution.

Why no replies from Logmein?
