Logon Failure Server 2012

I am trying to set up an access group for normal users to a Windows Server 2012 box.

If administrators logon, then it is fine.

For normal users, I have set up a custom AD security group called "Logmein Users" and added the required users to the group. I then set up the Logmein preferences to allow access to that group. However, when those users logon, Windows Server 2012 responds with

Logon Failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer

I presume that it is finger trouble by me but what have I missed?

I know this post is over a year old. I have the same issue you had. Can you please tell me what was the specific default domain policy you modified?

Found the problem. Nothing to do with LogMeIn. Turned out that, with Windows Server 2012, there is a default domain policy that stops "normal" users from logging into the system. Only admins can see the desktop. Once I changed the policy, all was well.
