Windows 8 and Ctrl-Alt-Del (Same thing wtih Ctrl-Alt-Ins)

Whenever I remote to my computer, Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, I get 2 errors in the event log. I also get disconnected. It also seems to creash Explorer.exe as many systray icons go missing. Other applications appear to close as well. I also get logged out of the system as well and have to log back in. To get everything working correctly, I have to reboot.

This has happened ever since I installed Windows 8 (fresh copy on brand new hardware) since Nov '13. LogMeIn also always updates automatically to the latest version.

Here are the 2 event log errors. I can't find a solution anywhere for the life of me.

Has anyone managed to find a resolution for this problem?

We have a client who is having this issue - we have changed the host machine and this is still happening.

She has the problem when she tries to login. After a few attempts she gets connected but the remote end is "locked up" if we then try and connect to the same machine using the same credentials - we don't see the problem – even if she states its “locked up” we have no problems!

We have just about tried everything we can think of!

Our machines Windows 8.1 or 10 – is there some form of issue with Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 with Logmein.

We have clients on the same site using MAC’s and other machines Vista & XP all seem fine!!

All get the same response.

One thing we have noticed that sometimes getting her to change the resolution setting down from HD to a lower setting or Up to HD from a lower setting makes the remote end “un-freeeze”

Experiencing the same issue here on Windows 8.1 64bit. It's causing major problems as I log into VMs remotely with CTRL+ALT+END

Similar error. Disconnects when I hit send ctrl alt del key and winlogon crash in event log.
